Something from Seinfeld?

Well, I think this blog is going to be about...nothing. Last night Jinx was giving me and several other friends a hard time for not blogging recently. So, I better get on it, although I'm not sure I have much to say at the moment. So here are a few blips that are unrelated and altogether not important!

It was warmer in Logan yesterday, which was perhaps aided by a fire in the new parking terrace at USU that occurred around 5:00ish in the evening. I have not yet heard what was burning, but there are really only three options in that terrace, 1) a car, 2) cement, or 3) a human being. (I'm really hoping it wasn't the latter!) The fire drew three fire-trucks, one paramedics truck and one ambulance to the scene. Cops were also crawling everywhere, making sure that the road was closed for at least 2 blocks in all directions. I was witness to this scene because I was trying to find a place to park to attend my night class. Well, unfortunately I ended up walking up Old Main.

Let's see...oh...I am glad that Desmond did not die on LOST last night. I was worried there for a minute - and I was NOT okay with that. I really like Desmond! It ended up being an awesome episode, however. And the new questions of the week: So how is Penny's father connected to the Dharma project? How did he know about the Black Rock and why would he buy the journal???

Ummm, okay here's another tidbit. So have you ever tried to translate phrases that were written by others? I am currently translating a document into Spanish for a professor and he used the phrase "mobile diaspora endeavors." This was used after stating that a society was ambitious. I would love to hear what you guys think that means. I can't help but picture an ambitious society putting forth great effort to activate a dispersed group of immigrant Jews, but I REALLY don't think that's it.

Anyway...enough of nothingness! I'm going outside to enjoy the beautiful sunshine!

I'll keep with the theme of nothing in my comment post. So after months of freezing at work, I am now dying of heat. And I'm hungry. And tired. So pretty much Friday is here. Can I go home yet?

P.S. ditto on glad desmond didn't die...thrilled he finally talked to penny...and what about the time travel?!!!! My mind is still spinning.

Great... now you've ruined it and I know that Desmond won't end up dead. No suspense at all. So much for not watching the trailers.

I loved that episode. I myself was much more caught up by the idea of a constant. I don't remember the journal but I do remember that Penny's dad's name is on the map.
